“Teaching overseas is an experience of a lifetime. It opens your world up to observe, accept and truly experience what it is like to live in a foreign country. Foreign holidays now have meaning because you experience them as they are celebrated with family and friends. Your "new" country welcomes you and tries to show you how they live their culture allowing you to learn from each other.
When you live in a new country, you also become more globally aware. You find yourself watching the foreign news, paying attention to the local politics and always being kept updated on American news from the locals, who look forward to a debate and your opinions on the happenings in America. You can live a life time in American - or you can have the time of your life learning about the world we live in. There is no greater knowledge then experience. Never be afraid of change, because without it we never grow.
Living and working overseas with the diverse population you are able to teach - it will teach you more in a year; then all the articles, books or movies you can read or watch in a lifetime. The world is an oyster, the question is what pearl are you going to get when you take the adventure of a life time overseas.“
