We understand how critical (and stressful) the search process is, and just how unique each school’s requirements and culture are. With combined experience of more than 100 years, the ISS executive search team will partner with you every step of the way to ensure that you find the best possible leaders for your school.

Therefore, the ISS search process is customized for each school and begins with a school head leadership profile specifically designed for your needs. Executive Searches are conducted by a team of highly qualified, experienced professionals with expertise in the different key areas. We pride ourselves in “embedding” with the client during this important work and are always accessible – whether onsite or via phone/Skype.

Levels of Service

ISS offers three levels of service, each providing the same level of professional commitment and quality of work.

  1. bg_li_level-3.pngLevel III is the most comprehensive package and provides schools with the complete ISS experience.
  2. bg_li_level-2.pngLevel II provides the same quality of professional services in a reduced scope.
  3. bg_li_level-1.pngLevel I is the most economical option and will require time and expertise on-site. Depending on the level you choose, the following process may look more or less in-depth, and more or less reliant on our team or your own, depending on your available time and resources.

Get an Early Start!

Given the intense global competition for school leadership talent, ISS recommends starting the process as early as reasonably possible. Generally, a search will run 70 to 90 days from start to completion. However, clients may request a shorter timeframe based on pressing needs. In this case ISS will expedite the process as required:

  • Advertisements, canvassing, announcements, and candidate contacts begin immediately
  • Screening, initial interviews, deliberations and selection of semi-finalists are done a soon as applicants submit their dossiers
  • Candidate forums, visitations and scheduling of final interviews may be conducted per the clients’ schedule
  • Final selection, contract negotiations, announcement immediately follows
  • Entry activities will commence soon after the new Head or Principal is named.
