Before you start the online application, be ready to:

  • List your assistant principal and/or principal for the positions you have held in the past seven years and include contact information so that we can request confidential references.
  • Submit copies of your credential(s), if applicable AND**
  • Submit transcripts of your highest degree earned**
  • It is important to list your current assistant principal/principal as a reference. In the event you become a finalist for a position, recruiters will want to contact your current employer.

Remember to include your complete educational work history.

  • Your on-line application eventually becomes part of your ISS file, therefore, please take your time completing this to ensure that there are no inaccuracies
  • Your online application may take you a few hours to complete
  • You will need to fill in basic information and then be asked to give a full work history over your career as an educator

After You Have Submitted Your Application:

  • The first step is the initial review to determine if you meet the minimum criteria based on the information you have entered.
  • When we conduct the full review, we coordinate your required documents with the information entered on your membership application to build an online dossier for recruiters to review. If we have two (2) confidential recommendations for your profile and a partner statement (if you have a dependent spouse/partner), we can activate your membership at that time.
  • We send you an email letting you know your status after each step of the review process.
  • In the event you become a finalist for a position, the recruiters will want to contact your current employer.
  • The ISS membership fee of US$195 fee is valid for two consecutive years (from date of payment), or until you find placement. This includes a non-refundable service fee of $50.
  • If you need more detailed instructions, please let us know and we will be happy to provide them for you!

Activation

Once your candidacy has been approved and your file is activated in our system, you can begin to research your options. Explore our jobs database or attend one of our recruitment conferences. You will want to find out as much as you can about the schools in each region you would like to teach. You will have access to all jobs listed in our system. Schools around the world use ISS as a gateway to candidates and post jobs in our system frequently. Email notifications are sent out to candidates nightly, alerting ISS candidates of new job opportunities, daily! Candidates also have access to information regarding Salaries and Benefits for each and every school (as they consider their options) as well as direct contact information for each school they are considering.
