Before the next step, be aware that:
- Your online application will take you a few hours to complete.
- The online application eventually becomes part of your iSS file. Please take your time completing this - and ensure that there are no inaccuracies.
- You will need to fill in basic information and then be asked to give a full work history over your career as an educator and administrator.
- You will be asked to provide three references (and this is one more than we ask for teaching candidates). Have email addresses ready. These references will be automatically contacted by ISS and asked to complete an online form that will take them approximately 10 minutes to complete.

- Personal Statement (downloadable form on member dashboard containing three specific questions)
- Supplemental documents you can also include for a more comprehensive file. They increase your opportunity to stand out as a candidate
- Photo
- YouTube
- Philosophy of Education
- Parent Recommendations
- Animoto or Prezi video (upload to your multimedia form)
- You will need to be prepared to upload supporting documents: certifications, degrees, transcripts, and a personal resume.
- If you are applying to an ISS search, have a coupon code ready to bypass payment.
- If you are applying to become a full ISS member, be prepared for payment of $195 (fee covers two year membership, or until you obtain a position).
NOTE: If you are applying as part of a team, please have your team member submit his/her online membership application and all required supporting documents at the same time. With teams, your information is reviewed together.
